Welcome to The World of Rosario

Artist's Philosophy
Rosario Alborta, acomplished sculptor, was born in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Santa Cruz de la Sierra, is a vibrant artistic colony that has nurtured and embraced a culture of creativity resulting in the emergence of a number of great writers, painters, sculptors, and craftsman.

Rosario's father, Don Oscar Alborta Velasco, was a revered diplomat and highly respected writer of short stories embracing Bolivian tradition to illustrate contemporary values from a historical perspective.

Since Rosario began her artistic career in 1970 her rare talent and creative zeal has been to glorify the creator for her ability to create both exquisite and compelling pieces devoted to expressing His word. In addition, Rosario has created paintings, drawings and sculptures that create sensitive and moving images that  touch the heart of the viewer.

Rosario has been expressing her artistic creativity utilizing a variety of media, focusing the majority of her work in sculpture. Representing the human figure through her sculptures reveals a world of infinite alternatives and personal expression.

Rosario is accomplished in creating an effect of motion, and emotion. Her sensitive and moving images unifying a theme: Celebration of Life through Spiritual Expression. Connecting the viewer with God and touching the human spirit.

Every Rosario 's piece is powerfully and exquisitely executed. Her bronze and terracotta pieces have been collected with unprecedented enthusiasm and confidence all over the world. Her pieces hold honorable space with various collectors, with one of her pieces in a place of honor between a Matisse and a Picasso, in one of the worlds most storied collections.

It is no coincidence that each and every creation that Rosario has placed in both private and public collections, have been the result of a face to face between Rosario and the client. Rosario's strong sense of spirituality defines both the pieces and the spirit with which those pieces evolved. Rosario truly embodies His words "I am the Potter, you are the clay."
